I took third in the English Brown category. (Jamil's SEB recipe) It was my first all-grain and first time I tried a yeast starter and first contest entry.

I am hoping that there were more than three entries in that category. :D

BTW... only got hon ment. in English bitter, but I swore I listed "The Brewing Network" as my club as well.

BTW, definitely more than 3 entries, there were 21 in the english brown category. Well done! :jnj

Congrats smizak, on second in APA too, another competitive category!

I got my medal too..Sweet! Awesome dead on scoring from the judges too. They docked me right where I thought they would.

Hey booboo, did they give out the other prizes like the candi syrup and Duvel glasses to winners at the banquet only? I soooooo wish I could have made it, I had no idea that it would sell out. :(

many competitions only give out prizes if you attend the banquet. We try to mail what we can. The belgian candi sugar is too heavy for us to mail....we'd be broke. With that said, for AWOG, you would likely get more or bigger prizes if you attended our banquet. We try to mail out gift certificates if you are far away.
