Re: Ferm temp for Hefeweizen

I just brewed a weizenbock using wlp 380, I brewed at 62' and it came out perfect, just the right balance of banana, clove and bubble gum. The recipe is from Rodney Kibzey (last years Longshot winner) and it is pretty tasty, I missed the color a little bit since I used chocolate 350 vs. 450 put the taste is right on in my opinion. I used some of the cake to brew a dunkelweizen, it is sitting at 62' also.

62 feet? That's an interesting technique.
Pri: Community Nudity Ale, Magician Red Ale, Berliner Weisse
Bottled: Paxton's Tripel and Dubbel, 400 Rabbits Ale, Cap'n Crunch Amber Oat Ale

I have found that 5280' is really optimal!

289.816667° Kelvin would probably be more appropriate. Do you think John Palmer uses Fahrenheit units of measure?

I hate to provoke you Bub, but I have Wyeast 3333. I hope that doesn't anger you. I don't want you to hold me down and color on my face with clown paint or anything.

You're gonna regret provoking Bub........
