Congrat's Bug, on the silver. I couldn't get my Belgians out to that fest soon enough.

Bug, do you double mash for this? or do you have the capacity for 23#'s o grain?

I fermented this at 65° in my fermentation fridge.

I do a batch sparge in a 52 quart (13 gallon) rectangular cooler. Lots of room in there.

Thanks for the compliment, I like my barleywine too. Some folks out at the Big Beers, Belgians, and Barleywine Festival in Vail, Colorado last weekend liked it enough to award me a sliver medal for my munich barleywine. The only barleywine to beat me also took best of show.
