I think they're on to something there, especially in the dry hop, not so much in the late boil. One of the guests on a really old brewing network show mentioned this as well (I forget who, it was during the first year of broadcasting back in 2005).

It was Vinnie Cilurzo. About the 3rd or 4th show back in July 2005. But it was Centennial and Willamette in a 3:1 ratio.

I thought it was Cascade and Willamette?

I thought it was neither of those, but someone who had mentioned Chinook specifically as a late hop/dry hop that really took me by surprise.. But then again, 2005 was a while ago.

I went back last night and listened to the Vinnie episode and Cuda, you are right. I stand corrected. It WAS Cascade and Willamette - not Centennial and Willamette.

In any case, I still really like the combo....
