Mine is still being built but it is pretty much a copy of colplink's.

I have all of the controlers and the control valves I just need a pair of pumps and fittings and small stuff. About a month or so and she will be up and running.

Trial and error are the best things. I talked to a few brewers and looked into how I wanted to brew ( allgrain vs partial mash vs extract) and also had to consider my budget. I knew that I couldn't afford to make a metal sculpture. So I would have to design a wood one. I also knew that I couldn't afford a pump just yet, so it had to be gravity fed. That dictated the style. Now I needed to know what the width and hights would be. I decided the width based on the widest piece of my equipment ( the mash tun cooler) and kept it the same size all the way down. I also had to consider the lowest point based on being able to gravity transfer into a carbouy. Starting at the bottom and working my way up, I just kept adding hight as needed. Everything after that is cosmetic and gadgets. That's how I got mine. It's not pretty but it get's the beer made.

Start moving around the equipment that you already have and fill in the gaps as you find them. I started with a wall in my garage and installed shelves with those brackets that fit into slots on a rail so you can adjust the height, I figured out how high my MLT had to be to get good flow into the kettle. then I figured out how high the HLT had to be to make my sparge arm turn. Next I tried to figure out how high my kettle had to be to get the wort through a CFC in a reasonable amount of time. My garage ceiling was too low so I bought a pump and started over.
Soon I discovered that I don't like lifting a heavy pot of hot sparge water onto a shelf above my head and since I already had a pump...
Just play with the equipment, you'll figure out what works for you.

I've been playing with my equipment for years but what does that have to do with brewing?
