I had my starter going on a stir plate (1.5L) for 24 hours (wyeast 2206) and never saw any krausen on the top. I chilled overnight anyway and tasted the wort in the am. It was still pretty sweet but it did have some carbonation and some beer like flavor. I also noticed the yeast turned my starter wort (pilsner DME 1.040) pretty brown. This is my first time using this strain. I added 1.5 L fresh starter wort this am and am brewing right now. Should I pitch this? My only other option is heading to my LHBS and grabing some Saflager S23. The beer is JZ's oktoberfest from bcs.
