You can call it JP's Manhood, it's still an IIPA. heh.

Nothing personal there linuxelf, but why do you say that? Because Dog Fish Head says it is.

Sorry. I am not buying it.

Bud also says that they are the "King of Beers". I am not buying that either.

I've said it once and I will say it again. IPA's do not age! Single or double. They just get old.

So why not call it what it is. A Barley Wine.

After all Barley Wines are heavily hopped just like an huge IPA. Barley Wines just age better.

I'm Just Asking to Call a Spade a Spade.

I'm not really sure why it matters what you call it. It's not really a Barley Wine or a Double IPA.

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.

So what exactly is it? Please do not say, DFH makes unconventional beers.

That just means they suck.

Looking over the style guidelines I guess by the numbers and descriptions that it could kinda of fit in either. It just doesn't fit with anything else I've drank. It's more like a liquor than a beer. It's a 20%+ beer. It just doesn't really fit with traditional styles of beer.
