Dominion Octoberfest

Sun Jun 26, 2005 2:12 pm

12 oz. twist off, brown, longneck bottle. Freshness date of 26 Aug 2004. Very fresh then. Poured out a medium copper / amber color, with a tan colored, sticky head. It slid back to a generous lacing down the sides of the glass. Aromas are of fresh Vienna malts, slight spiciness, and yeast. Alcohol and hops are both well hidden in aromas. Flavors are of fresh malts, spicy yeast, and a slight burning from the alcohol as it’s swallowed. Lively carbonation. Medium mouthfeel. Finishes somewhat sweet and spicy. It would make a great session beer.
