My suggestion wins! I just kegged up my sweet stout with wlp013. It's for our club competition and I think it is a winner. Very roasty and chocolatey with lactose sweetness. I didn't get a lot of krausen, and after it dropped there was a lot of yeast in suspension for almost 2 weeks, but it finished out and cleaned up real nice. I am interested to hear if you get the same sort of activity. I did a 1200mL starter for a 6gallon batch.

The krausen is starting to dissipate now, I got a lot of it. I may have over pitched, I used two vials and only had 3 gallons of wort, it was supposed to be a 5.5 gallon batch, well that's how I did the recipe but I never get that much mainly because I need a false bottom, the bazooka just doesn't let me get as much out of the keggle.

I'm excited about it! I'll keep you posted on how it comes out chief.

Two vials in 3 gals is big but probably not overpitching (unless it was a mild or other small beer).

I'm bottling it today folks so it won't be long till it's ready for a drinkin, of course I shall taste it today, I taste it at every step though, mash, preboil, post boil, pre bottle and of course when it's all done and junk.

I opened one of the bottles 2 days into conditioning (because I want to check the carbonation and I've had bottle bombs before) and it taste grrrrreat! So smooth and no harsh astringency from the roasted grains even though I used a butt load of'em and I put'em in at the beginning of the mash, not the end like I've done before.

It will be even better when it's done carbonating but it tastes incredible, thanks for the London Ale idea Effingbeer!
