We had the same Monday. My first Belgian dark strong. 5.5 gal OG=1.103 in a 6 gal better bottle, no foam control. I expected some kreuzen loss. I didn't expect to be sad.
Ended up losing 3/4 gal. Will 5 gallons of big beer @ ~67F with fermcap work OK in a 6 gallon carboy w/blowoff tube? Hate to brew less than 5 gal. But I hate wasting 6 pints even more.
When it happened to me after I lost my gal, it cleared up enough headspace in the better bottle that I didn't lose any more. On a side note, the beer turned out awesome. My Xmas shopping is now done just have to bottle them up
Funny...my belgian dark strong just blasted out of my carboy all over the inside of my ferment fridge as well. Was oozing out of the bottom of the fridge when I woke on Wed morning. What a pain in the ass to clean. Ended up making me about 35 min. late to work! Didn't lose any beer just krausen/yeast. I promptly added fermcap and when I got home later that day the yeast was trying to climb out of the fermenter again....What else would ya' expect with WY 3787?

I just had 5+ gallons of a 1.077 brown with Wyeast Trappist blend in a 5 gallon carboy. I covered with foil and added a small, white packet of anti-foam (it didn't have a product name) and the krausen climbed right up to the opening of the carboy and stopped there.
