Kegerator Beer line conversion

Have a bit of a dilemma regarding my kegerator beer line (Single tap tower). I have been racking my brain trying to figure a way to keep the current beer line with coupler attachment intact without cutting it off to fit to a Quick Disconnect for homebrew kegs. I still want the ability to buy commercial products as well as use homebrew kegs. Is it possible to add a fitting on one end and QD on the other of a 1 foot hose? Meaning, I basically extend the beer line 1 foot to accomodate a corny. I understand the pressure may need to be adjusted with the extra foot, but that's fine.

I want to avoid spending $50 on a beer line cleaner cheap pumpy thing when I can just extend the line, attach to home brew keg, and clean via pressure from keg.

I'm sure that made no sense and pics would make a world of difference in this situation, but not able to post at this time.

The cleanest way would be to use flare fittings for the tailpiece, swivel nuts, and QD. That way you would just swap out your commercial keg coupler for a liquid QD when you wanted to clean it. Williams has a kit they call on commercial keg conversion kit with everything involved http://www.williamsbrewing.com/BALL-LOC ... 1C118.aspx

You could also just cut in a tee in the liquid line so that both lengths are around 5' (or whatever you are using).

Absolutely. Almost every piece can be found at the hardware store, you may just have to buy them in packs of 50!
