Has anyone successfully racked out of the keg with the brewers hardware conversion under light pressure ie:5-10psi? Looks like hose clamps would work just find for that?

For anyone who has the brewers harware conversion, have you been successfull in racking the yeast off of the bottom? Not necessarily all of it, but for dry hopping after primary ferm. is complete.

I don't see why not, as long as the racking cane goes all the way to the bottom. It helps if you swirl the keg around first, especially if it's cold.

I do this with every batch. Raise up the linear racking cane first. Then a 1/2" ID silicone hose will slide over the blowoff port, secure it with a clamp, and push co2 into the sanke and watch beer come out the racking cane (into a purged corny). Works great, only a few psi are needed at the beginning, and maybe 5-7 psi as you get to the bottom.

Approximately how far does the racking cane sit from the bottom?

It's adjustable while racking. It can go from all the way tothe top to the very bottom of the keg. I usually start racking with the bottom of the cane about 6" off the bottom, them move it down slowly as I am racking out. When done you can push it down to the bottom if you want to collect some yeast.
