Which is most likely to sell out first: the hotel or the conference? I only have enough cash to purchase one or the other until a few more weeks. Do you guys expect the hotel or conference to sell out within a month?

Get both. The hotel won't run the charges until check-in.

Hotel only requires a card to book the room, won't charge it until you are there....if something comes up, cancel before 48 hours prior and nothing gets charged!

Planning to go next year for my first time. Anyone who has wife/kids have any advice? Would like to do a mix of family stuff and beer stuff. Thinking about taking my niece along with us as a babysitter so wife and I can spend the evenings doing adult events. Anyone else bringing the wife and kids?

Balboa Park...Enjoy one of the best free parks in the world (visit the botanical gardens and Timken Museum) Always Free!
Walk the longest Pier in California - The Ocean Beach Pier is an amazing way to experience the OB surfing culture from a great birdseye view from above the historical lineup. Plus after you can enjoy a beer at the newly opened Pizza Port OB!
PB Boardwalk...walk/ride/blade this 1 mile stretch of So Cal paved coastline to get a real feel of what SD is really about...this jaunt of boardwalk coasltine along PB is hardcore San Diego!

NHC is the only trip I've EVER taken where I consider it a point of pride to never leave the hotel! Between hospitality suite, club/pro nights, BNA, lectures, and naps, you're lucky if you have time to eat.

I just registered... Now time to plan the brews that will sweep the competition this year... muahhaaahahahah.

Allegedly it will be in Philly in 2012.

At the AHA meeting at NHC this year they implied the West again for 2012. Not enough people out East stepping up to help or something.

The FOAM Rangers in Houston said they were working on a bid for Austin in 2013.

That'd be pretty sweet if FOAM Rangers get it in '13, I'd love to check out Austin... Rumor for 2012 I've heard is Seattle, AHA Meeting at NHC said the East has been pretty silent when it comes to stepping up to volunteer and find places that can accommodate and that the next two would be in the West. 41 minute mark of the meeting they talk about NHC locations.


So do I get a Garden or Regency/Courtyard room?
