No, sorry Pliney is quite a bit different. My homebrewed version is as well quite a bit different than Pliney, although you can definitely tell they are related. Pliney has changed over time, it was fantastic back when and its fantastic now, just different. My version has not changed but I'm thinking about a makeover to make it more like, you guessed it, Pliney.

Man I love this hobby?

Nice mugshot....did Sam Adams give you any say in how your picture looked on the bottle (any approval rights)? I was curious about how you think it turned out?

Thanks!

I think it's pretty good in terms of resemblance. I don't think I had any choice because it went right to TTB without me getting to see it. I have no real complaints. The Longshot has been a great experience. The folks, and I mean all of them, at Sam Adams have been just fantastic.

I asked my local store to bring in a couple of cases for me if it's available.

Cool! That and the anniversary party? I won't ever have to go to another NHC.

I just stopped by my local bottle shop to pick some up. Not there. Shat's Dad just told me he picked some up, so I know it's in Connecticut. I started talking to a guy that works at the shop, who turned out to be the buyer, and asked him when they expect the Longshot beers in. He said he didn't think it was out until June! I told him he was wrong so he called the distributor and ordered a case for me to be delivered on Thursday. Sweet. Better yet, he let me take a quick gander at his list of available beers from all his distributors and I spied the Shelton Brothers! He's ordering me a case of Pannepot, hopefully arriving on Thursday as well. Boner!

Stopped on the boulevard on my way out of Ocean City, NJ yesterday and, much to my surprise, found this.... Definitely lives up to the hype. Thanks Tasty!
