PFC. Anthony here, reporting as the organizer of the 14th annual BUZZ BrewOff in beautiful Champaign, IL. Our competition had the crappy luck of being the same weekend as this region's Sam Adam's Longshot (even though we've had the same date for 14 years!), but we still had a good turn out. We had a record number of entries (> 250), and there were several winners that had the Brewing Network down as their club. You can check out the results (eventually) at buzzbrewclub.org. As for myself, I did pretty well too, I entered 11 beers and ribboned with 7 of them (3 or 4 first place ribbons). Anyways, I wanted to thank all you BN'ers out there that entered our comp, and I hope you enter next year too. Also, I was wearing my standard issue BN black army cap at the competition and had at least one person say, "BN Army forever!", which was pretty cool. Sometimes I think I am on sort of an island with regard to my obsession with the Jamil Show and the Sunday Session in my club... but it is cool when people from other clubs come and are soldiers too
