Well, they changed it around this year and separated the competition from the microbrew festival. The competition wasn't nearly as well attended as the microbrew festival usually is.... On the other hand, all the advice and free info I get from Jamil, Doc, and yes, even Justin and JP has led to my first first place beer! After two years of getting third place ribbons at this competition, I have taken (with the help of the BN) first place in the IPA category with a British IPA called Undercut IPA! So I just want to say thanks again for all the info you guys give out and the fact that there are literally days worth of material on here means that I am constantly reminded of tips and tricks that I had forgotten. Forget Jamil's book... (it is very nice though)... the real service that the BN provides for the homebrew community is to get all of that information out there with great interviews from top-notch guests as well.
