i lived in eagle's landing about 1 mile right behind mccord. i was stationed at ft. lewis for almost 5 years. when you lose to a guy named AJ, he looks like Gimli from Lord of the Rings, just shake his hand. He is an intelligence analyst from one of those buildings without windows, that guy knows how to brew. he taught me a bunch. he has a trap door in the floor of his shed with a 20 foot hole beneath and a pulley system. he lagers stuff in a hole. don't be discouraged if he wins everything. he's been doing it at the state fair for at least a decade. i brewed with him in 93 and he already had a shizaload of medals. good luck!
I'm enjoying my 6-pack....my 6-pack of Superbowl trophies!

Ok. We can run to The Beer Essentials that morning and pick up ingredients... or you can tell me what you want to brew and I can grab it all. I will need to know what yeast to get a few days early so I can build the starters. I was thinking we Christen my system with two batches? Also... I have been chilling with an ice bath so far. Works pretty well too. I will not yet be buying a immersion chiller. So, if you have one... bring it!
