Hey Kids,

It's late, but I'm enjoying that frowler that Silver Peak gave us....pretty much to myself. the Pope has had to lay his weary head, Daniela is updating the blog I think, and I...well...I'm doing the imortant stuff...drinking the growler before it goes flat :D and it is a really nice brown ale.

We met Buzzcut at Silver peak today...who's really the dork buddy. It was very cool of him to come on out and have lunch and beer with us. We wish that more folks could do the same. But it is difficult that we have a tight agenda to reach all the brewery's we want to and cover it adequately for the BNer's, so time is tight. Cheers to Buzz and thanks for coming out.

The owner and brewer at Silver Peak were both very good to us. Gave us all the time we had/needed to get footage of the brewery and also interviews. Then were hospitable enough to fill our bellies, our pint glasses (plus "tastings"), and finally a roadie growler to make our trip even more pleasant.

From Reno, straight through Salt Lake City in time to check in to hotel and visit Squatters Pub and Brewery. I highly recomend a stop at this place. I had set up the whole film/interview thing with the head brewer, who is out on maternity leave, about a week ago. The message was apparently never delivered. Nonetheless, the asst brewer was still there (10pm) and was more than happy to show us the whole place, interview, and let us have the run of the place to shoot video. Better that all the hospitality, was the beer. Great lagers of all sorts (Vienna, Alt, Schwarzbier). 6 of them are on their way to GABF, so we'll see how they do. I have high hopes.

Tomorrow we visit Uinta Brewery here in Salt Lake. It's an all wind powered medium/large production brewery that I'm excited to visit and interview. We have a little more time to stay there, so I also have high hopes for that footage...we'll see.

From there we drive to the bottom of Utah down to Moab to hit another brewpub that is prepared to show us around even at the end of the day.

More to come....

Prost folks....really looking forward to meeting some of you in Denver. We are looking at 6:30pm Thursday, in the beer hall. Still confirming th spot, but hoping it will be 21A booth. I'll post cinfirmation tomorrow. I also hope to see some BN shirt reps there...represent folks...after all, it; sour beer club right?!
