2008 San Diego Brewers Guild Festival

Mon Nov 03, 2008 10:22 pm

Saturday Nov. 8th
Balboa Park San Diego

http://www.sandiegobrewersguild.org/

This is a great event. All the San Diego Breweries will be there. Some of the breweries do a food and beer pairing. Great music and just a good vibe. Plus you can talk to all the Brewer's. If you get a hotel downtown it's a $5 cab to the festival. You can walk anywhere in the gaslamp or if you're more adventerous you can hope on the trolley and head south. If you go, wear your BN gear and let's party!
Enjoy Great Beer!

Here are some notes on the beers from this event.

They're mostly in the order that I drank them in:

Alesmith Decadence 07 Firkin
Imperial Porter
ABV not given 10%?
Theres a hot sweet alchohol aroma right up front
and same flavor hits your tongue
smooth creamy chocolatey flavors quickly follow

Coronado Brewing
Neptunes Nectar 8.5% ABV

This beers has many flavors and aromas swirling and mixing around
Strong Citrus aromas and flavors greet you first
follwed by a nice barnyard in the middle
ending with an ale crispness kinda mixed with a belgian spicyness
went back for seconds

Brewer's Notes:
This Beer was 2 batches blended together. One batch was fermented with 001 the other with Duvel.
Then the beer was finished with a champagne yeast.
Dam Fine Beer! :bnarmy:
Enjoy Great Beer!
