Re: BNA 8 Tap listing?

Here is the online list fellas:

http://phillytapfinder.com/event/brewing-networks-bna8/

I am still working on confirmations from CA breweries, but we have run into a legal snag that requires all the breweries already be distributed in PA. So for those CA breweries who are distributed there, we are asking for beer that has not yet made it out there. The link above will be update al ot through the coming week now that Philly Beer Week is long gone and reps have time to respond to us.

Unfortunately, no. We were unable to get Russian River this time. Sorry kids.

Russian River is already on the PA alcohol board's radar. Some bar owner in Philly brought some Pliny into the city. The city requires that the brewery have a license to sell in the city. Russian River doesn't have one. The cops raided the bar and confiscated the pliny. The bastards. This was a couple of years ago.

Just because RR is at a bar, doesn't mean that it's legally at a bar. The world cafe likely would rather not get nailed with the 2% chance that they get fined for serving beer they're not allowed to. And that is their choice. Just like it is a bar's choice to serve "illegal" beer.

Exactly. That 2% chance, as I understand it (having only read a couple of articles at the time), can have serious repurcussions, like losing their license. I don't blame 'em.
