All the beer menu websites seem to be months out of date, so I can't count on that info. Last visit was in March and we literally tripped over the entrance to Devil's Den while looking for something else. It turned out to be one of my favorite bars in the Philladelphia!

Not at all, unfortunately. I had one road trip a few years ago there to Monks, Nodding Head, and a brewery (Dock Street?) slightly outside the city whose name escapes me--good pizza, though. There may have been some other influences clouding my memory.

It would be so sad if the conference is not in Center City! While there are excellent beer bars in the suburbs, the city has a ton of great beer places within a small, easily accessible, radius. Between cabs, buses, walking, hopefully BN organized drunk-buses; we can do some serious liver damage in the "center city" area.

I was using Google Maps to check out Center City hotels. The Downtown Marriot looks suitably large--over 1330 rooms. But all places I checked out had pay parking. One of the reviews said $30. I assume that's per day, which can add up to essentially paying for an extra day's stay. I guess that's the price of staying in the big city.

You might be able to find somewhere that you can park outside the city and take the rail line in... won't have your car on hand, but may be cheaper...

I thought about driving since its so close but the pay per day for parking makes me think taking the train is a better idea.

Besides, who would want to drive home for 6 hours hungover.

Our club is talking about participating in Club Night. If we do, I'll have way too much crap to take and will have to drive in.

You don't think they'd let you ride the train with a half dozen cornies?
