As I recall, it's usually a few days before NHC right? Sometime during the week before the weekend?

It will likely be Wednesday night.

If there is a bus tour, like BNA4, getting in around noon you will prob miss the bus. Cost me and a bud $100 to take a taxi to where the bus was at, Moylans from Oakland......but it was WELL worth it. I would say, get in as early as possible, I think the buses left around 10ish that year. I'm getting in on Monday, so will have plenty of time!

Any word on the BNA6 date?

In 2009 it was on Wednesday night, and in 2010 it was on Wednesday night. It won't be Thursday Friday or Saturday because the conference is going on, and there won't be enough people there on Sunday Monday or Tuesday to make it worthwhile. QED, it will be likely be Wednesday night before NHC.
