Emerald Coast Beer Festival - Sep. 10

Had a blast at the fest. It was great to get to meet some of you guys.

Drank too damn much beer! My favorite homebrew was from the carboy junkies. Black IPA was a trip!

Favorite commercial beer was Stone's Smoked Porter. I got a case of empty bombers that I'm trying to delabel right now. Was gonna try muratic acid but I'm out. I'll hit the pool store tomorrow.

This was my first year so I didn't know what to expect. I just brought one corny of an AHS kit beer. Next year I'm gonna blow it up!

It was great to meet the BNers out at the fest. I, too, was a big fan of that Black Double IPA and the Belgian Dubbel from the Carboy Junkies, along with the all New Zealand-hopped IPA from the Central Florida Homebrewers, and Whitebeard's Wit at the Hoppy Homebrewers of South Mississippi booth. I'll definitely see everyone out there next year!

A good review of the fest by a local writer...and I'm frickin' flattered about the IPA remarks, although I didn't get any of that peanut brittle flavor out of it.

Way to go motivatedslacker! congrats! The writer's characterization of the behavior at the Carboy Junkies' tent is completely untrue, however- I am NOT the president. Just thought I'd clear that up.

On a positive note, this is the first time I was so drunk it got mentioned in a newspaper. I'm so proud.
