I'd bring the hardware Matrix style but then I wouldn't be able to bring as much beer back home. I'm rooming with the Mrs. so I won't be saving any money there but she does shoot pretty straight. I don't know weather to spend the extra sixty bucks a night or sleep in hazmat gear. Some of the 6's we've stayed at are kind of sticky.
Seriously. Spend the extra money. Oakland has a bad rep for a good reason.
Push and I stayed the night in a Motel 6 off of Hegenberger across the street from the Oakland Coliseum and I truly did not think we would live to see the morning.
Thanks for the honest info. I booked a room at The Washington Inn Hotel across from the convention center through Expedia.com. The rate was $95 a night for the standard queen bed room rate. It'll wind up cheaper than the Motel 6 plus cab fares. I posted this on the other 2009 NHC thread also.
