The person that is going to beat me this year is probably Kristen England. He is a great brewer and has been edged out just slightly the past few years.

That is a great choice Jamil there aren't many though. Formancheck(sp) would be another possibility I would imagine and let's not leave out Tasty McDole either.

You heard it here first, folks. Jamil is throwing in the towel. Now that he has an immensely popular best selling book, he has no need to rub our noses in his medals.

Kris England would head my list of suspects for Ninkasi this year too. I wouldn't be surprised to see any of a couple folks out of the St. Paul club win. Those guys are incredible brewers! I hate them all! (In a good way of course ). I made the mistake of entering a whole bunch of competitions last year that they all entered too. Talk about going up against the big guys!

I got a question. This is going to be my first year entering the nationals. I have done pretty decent in a couple local comps and now I'm ready to take on the big boys.

The question is, how many bottles of each brew should I have ready. Assuming I made it to the second round of course. Would it be 3 for the first round, 3 for the second round?

The Rules & Regulations document is coming soon—please check back after February 20, 2008.

I had one advance last year but I don't remember how many I sent. Your best bet is to wait a week and then go to www.beertown.org to seek your answer. To play it safe, make sure you set aside 6 bottles. If you only need 4 you can always enter the other 2 elsewhere or drink them yourself.

Thanks Boog. The reason I asked is because I have a sixer each of a couple beers I wanted to enter and wanted to make sure that was enough. If it turns out to be 4 then I'll probably enter them elsewhere.

The rest of those batches are long gone so I wanted to make sure. I have a couple others still in kegs I may enter
