I took 2nd place overall at the Abita Home Brew Competition with a Berliner Weiss. I just wanted to thank the brewcasters for all the information they put out over the years and the forum. I followed the process from Will Meyers in the Cambridge Brewing Co show to turn out the beer in three weeks. It is remarkably sour but very drinkable.
I took 3rd Place with a Baltic Porter at 9.1% ABV. This beer was based on Jamil's recipe and used WLP 830. 3rd Place was given a Beer Gun and 2nd place was given a grain mill. The rest of the top 5 were: 4th Place a Brettanomyces beer and 5th Place an Alt.
