NHC? The Brewing Network Club Night Booth?

Sun Jan 11, 2009 3:38 pm

I am clubless (except of course, for the Brewing Network). Being in the militia though, I still want to come to Oakland and bring it strong for the NHC.

Wondering if the TBN is going to have a booth together for club night, and/or what else will be going on TBN related going on at NHC?

Still catching up on the archives (in may08), so I haven't caught any news that may have come through the airwaves recently, wondering if I can get a heads up.

Its a pretty good idea, but I for one wont be able to bring a volume of beer as I am crossing the country to go. Maybe some of the soldiers that are in driving distance can rig it.

Not to mention that many local BN Army types are also DOZE members (Justin, Doc, Tasty, Jamil, JP and Jon Plise, to name a few) and DOZE has a large role in organizing and producing this year's NHC. Don't worry ladies, there will be Army-style partying enough for everybody.

Good point! Other clubs are not going to lose members to our asshatery. Not gonna happen.

TBN will do a live broadcast from Club Night. That would include things like Beer Jeopardy and a variety of other activities that will outdo anything the BN has ever done. A BN club booth could sorta get lost in all that. But if a group wants to do a booth that certainly can be done. Some booths will have 10 taps and others will have just a couple. It doesn't really take that much beer and bottles are more than welcome. Of the 250-300 club night kegs we're expecting (I'm the cellarmaster), it would be rare that any one of them gets half consumed by the 1000 club night attendees. Just too many beers to try. Dedicated attendees that know how to elbow their way around might try 60-70 beers. Most people just look for a long line and figure that's the best beer or ask everyone they run into where the good beer is. It's about the most fun you can have with unlimited free beer and a hotel room key in your pocket. Club Night is the heart and soul of the conference. You'll see.

I will gladly volunteer provided I'm allowed into the NHC. I think I'm going to email the AHA here soon to see if I can get in.
