Denver Events (GABF.NHC): Come visit Ft Collins

Fri Feb 02, 2007 3:22 pm

I know that some of you are coming out to Denver for GABF and also NHC. Ft Collins, which is about 1 hour North of Denver on I-25 is home to 3 great breweries: New Belgium, O'Dells, and Ft Collins Brewery. We also have two great brewpub/restaurant (CB & Potts and Coopersmiths), and the Bud plant is up here if you really want to see that too.

Anyway, in the spirit of the brewers code, I am offering to show you around/drive you around town and to all the breweries (you are on your own for Bud). I need to know ahead of time so that I can take the day off.

If you want to go on your own, I will write up a brief guide that also contains a map of how to get to the breweries from Denver.

I don't have any "pull" with the breweries here, but if we have a decent sized group, I have enough contacts with them that I can probably pull something off or at least let them know we are coming.

Additionally, if you are driving in from I-80, and you need a place to crash the night before, my house is open to you. I won't recommend staying here during the whole festival, but it would work for a "night before" or "night after".

PS - If you visit, be sure to go to O'Dells. Best beer in town and much less crowded than New Belgium (also only about 2 miles away from NB).

Please email me if you are interested, I don't check PMs all that often:
