Seasoned Festival Goers - I Need Advice

Sat Aug 14, 2010 7:38 am

On the 21st of August we will be hosting a BN Homebrew Club booth at the 1st Annual Michigan Homebrew Festival. I am putting up a table, with the banner attached to the front, free cd's of great BN shows, and a dry erase board to list the beers we will be pouring. I was thinking that I needed my keg utility kit and tools and maybe paper towels to finish off running the booth.

What else would I need, veteran fest goers?

I can be a little help, I did the same thing at the First Annual Great Nebraska Beer Festival last year. I contacted Shat about getting some stickers and other promo stuff, but he didn't come through in time. :( However, I got in touch with Brewtat and he hooked me up with BN business cards and temporary tattoos. (The women love the tattoos. :) )

Armed with those I also draped the table with my collection of BN apparel along with a sign that these were for display only but could be ordered through the website. I had planned to play archives all day long, but we had live music at the stage right next to where I was set up. The bands were great! I also had my laptop set up there with a wireless connection to the network at the brew pub (Nebraska Brewing Company) right behind me. Folks really liked seeing what the the site had to offer.

Above all, keep a smile on your face and talk to everyone. The tattoos really help draw folks in. Offer them to the kids and that will get the parents to stand there while applying the tattoo and giving you the opportunity to talk to them.

Good luck.

I will be back at the Nebraska Festival this year, but apparently not with a booth. If you do find yourself in the Omaha area on the 28th of August be sure to stop by to say hi, I will be pouring beer for one of the breweries. http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?ei ... 276&ref=ts

Great idea about the merchandise! I have some bn shirts I wont be wearing and I will do the same as what you did. I might have to see if brewtat can set me up with tattoos.

Thanks Bug!

Besides titties: Water, a dump bucket, clear plastic cups, and a bigass bag of small pretzels with a bowl to put them into.
PM me your address and I'll try and steal some stickers and tats from the ratpad fulfillment center while nobody is looking. :)
