Although not as organized as QUAFF, DOZE, and the Maltose Falcons, there are a few internet only homebrew clubs that the AHA recognizes. These clubs are allowed to enter all of the sanctioned AHA comps. These folks are from all over the map, so is that fair to the rest of us if they become successful? Somebody is going to feel slighted no matter what AHA decides.

On that note, because of some internal strife with my current club, I have considered sending my beer to the second round on behalf of another club not in our region. That's where my heart is...

Darin, Join DOZE, you numbnut.

JZ - dont you enter in other regions anyway because you are affiliated with the cop at some point? Or am I huffing glue?

I admit, I was wondering the same stuff Gary brought up, as to why the Great Lakes region. But I am glad that you showed up and told us really what went on. Do you have any plans on posting that on Tech Talk? I;d hate for anything to go down in Orlando when you walk up on stage to get awards. Actually, I am suprized that nobody from the AHA has posted yet explaining the situation....

So just in plain english so everyone gets it. Jamil enters in GL and QUAFF enters in the SW therefore they are given 2 chances to get the 12 points that are counted to HB club of the year.

Now let really look closer:
QUAFF is in the SW region, Jamil lives in the West Region so no matter what some one is bitching about they would have 2 chances at the 12 pts no matter what. The system has a flaw that can never be fixed, until Jamil goes pro.

Now throw in the internet only clubs and it get even crazier.

Whatever gets you excited and, more importantly, whatever gets me a discount at the store.
