Gotta love'm! I have one near me that does similar tastings from time to time. I figure free beer for a couple hours is the least they can do for the amount of money I spend in there. Drink up,

Hey BadRock... I don't know how close you are to one, but while I was out in the Denver area visiting, a buddy took me to a Tipsy's near Lakewood. It was a liquor store the size of a WalMart. We're talkin' Orca big! They were saying that they do free tastings there every Saturday from 1-3 and from 5-7. You only get 4 samples, but you get to pick from wines, beers... while I was there they had an organic vodka and a pomegranate wine.

I hate all of you guys for having places like that. It is so hard to get good beers and booze in PA most of the time. :(

Maybe out in western PA... but here in the LV, there are plenty of options.

Tipsy's is about 30 miles away from me but the worlds largest (Daveco) is only about 7 miles from my door step. Daveco is also worth checking out if you are ever in town.

I live about 7 miles from Shangy's (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1645/?view=beerfly), but you have to watch that they don't try to pass old beer off on you unless its a style that can handle the aging.

Yeah, there are a few places where you can buy single bottles at reasonable prices (unlike the usual case size at regular distributors... fuckin' PLCB  ). I usually go to Abe's or the Six Pack Shop in Bethlehem, or over to NJ since I'm only 10 miles from the border.
