Anyone else think the oatmeal might be a little burnt? I love other offerings from Breckenridge, so if anyone thinks I am out of line, let me know. I have tasted burnt oatmeal before, and that's the flavor I pick up now. If I am wrong please feel free to correct me for the love of god, I really hope I am wrong! I love Breckenrige, try 471 small batch IPA, it's great...... somebody back me up for this or something!

I was out at breckenridge two years ago and loved the beer. I found the oatmeal stout here in Ann Arbor this weekend and picked up a couple. I did not get a burnt flavor in the two I had and really enjoyed the beer. I followed it with a Young's oatmeal stout and got a very roasty almost burnt flavor there. I have never tasted that burnt flavor from Young's before but this was the first time I had it in a bottle instead of a nitrogen tap. I agree with you, Breckenridge has great beer. I tried to go there last year for dinner while skiing keystone but it was a 2.5 hour wait for a table. They are doing something right.

Guess this gives me a good reason to go and try to find this beer. I have found most of Breck's offerings to be good. I even got a good friend who now stops at their pub in LoDo to eat when in Denver even though he doesn't drink b/c their food is that good. Can't wait to pay off that bitch Sallie Mae now so I can go and visit up there more often.
