22 oz. brown bomber bottle. No freshness date seen. Satisfying pfftt when opened. Decent carbonation. Poured out a dark copper color, with a sparse white head. It left a decent lacing down the sides of the glass. Aromas are of roasted malts, some smoke, and bitter espresso beans. Flavors are much smoother than the flavors suggest, however. Smooth on the palate. Medium mouthfeel, neither thick nor thin bodied. Hop aromas are subdued, but their bitterness is apparent. Very easy drinking for an English style.

Interesting to note that if you get this beer on tap it will have a more estery, fruity component to it. Almost like a different beer. Still good...but definitely different.

I had this for the first time tonight. Good stuff. Nice vanilla notes. Went really well with my apple pie.

I didn't realize they were distributing to the East coast yet. I'll have to let my family know to keep an eye out for it! (they're in your neck of the woods...WV and PA)

I don't know that they are. The place I got this from had a giant beer selection and this was the only Firestone beer they had. I've never seen it anywhere else out here. The store may well have brought it into the state themselves.
