Dogfish Head Burton Baton

Sun Jun 26, 2005 2:03 pm

12 oz. brown, longneck bottle. No freshness date seen. Poured out a hazy orangish amber color, with a fast fading thing white head. It barely left a ring of foam around the glass. Aromas are of fresh peaches, tropical fruit, oak barrels in the background, and a Merlot bite as well. Flavors are of oak foremost, followed by peaches, tangerines, minty notes as well as the malts. Sweet caramels meld with the oakiness to produce a top notch flavor combo. A little overdone for an IIPA in my book, but a decent new beer all the same.
