Hmmm, where to start? Serving size : 25 oz. cork capped bottle. No best before date that I can see. Pours out a deep golden color, with over-flowing head. I had to actually use a spoon and take some of the head out, because I couldn't smell the beer itself. Sweet aromas of fresh cut hay, malts, and hops. Nice smooth caramel taste up front, with a smooth maltiness in the middle, followed by a subdued hops bite at the end. Very floral in it's aromas as it warms up. Hints of citrus and spices in the nose. Well balanced mix of malts and hops on the tongue. It has a pleasant aftertaste, and hides it's 9% ABV very well. You don't even notice it, until your stomach starts getting rather warm. My first Dogfish beer, and not a let down, either. Let's all go fishing, gang.
