Rogue Shakespeare Stout

Thu May 06, 2010 6:01 pm

I haven't had a Rogue Shakespeare stout in a long time, so I picked one up tonight.
Jet black with a nice ebony head.
Smooth, hoppy, roasty - but not a burnt roasty with a creamy chocolate finish.

Wow, I forgot how good this beer is.

Great beer - but it's even better on nitro at their brewpubs.

i just revisited this the other day, good stuff. It's funny though has the bottle always said Shakespeare OATMEAL stout? I feel like its was just shakespeare stout a few years ago. It does taste the same as i remember though. maybe just something they added when they started malting some of their own grains

Yeah...I thought that was strange too. Still love the beer.
