Belhaven Wee Heavy

500 ml. brown bottle. No freshness date seen anywhere. Loud pfffttt when opened. Poured out a mahogany red color, deep and dark. Slight, tannish colored foamy head that left a decent lacing down the sides of the glass. Aromas are of malts, and more malts. Slight smokiness to it as well. Hops are subdued in both aromas and tastes. But, not so much in tastes. There is a bitter tang to the finish of this beer. Rich mouthfeel fills the mouth with a smooth maltiness, followed by a smoky bite towards the end. A truly well made beer from the Scottish.
