Avery The Maharaja Imperial India Pale Ale

Mon Jun 20, 2005 6:44 am

22 oz. brown bomber bottle. No freshness date seen, but none needed either. Fruity esters hit the nose before the beer is even poured. Golden amber color when released from the bottle. Thick, sticky, white head clings to the glass desperately for the ride to the bottom. Aromas are of caramel malts, juicy hops, some alcohol, slight oak barrel, macerated tropical fruits, rum soaked vanilla beans, and esters galore. Thick, sticky mouthfeel clings to your tongue & throat like a death grip. Extremely malty, very hoppy, and deliciously satisfying. Pick up 10 bottles like I did.
