hop stoopid

is awesome.
this shit is the poor man's pliny, but you don't have to worry about losing on quality, it just costs less than pliny.
i just went to the grocery store and bought every bomber they had at $3.69.
22oz. at $3.69($0.17 an ounce) for stoopid vs. 500ml at $6.05($0.36 an ounce) for pliny
I'm not trying to be a pliny basher because its awesome also, I just can't afford it and at half the price stoopid is a very similar beer.
buy it.

You must be high. Stoopid is a decent enough IIPA and quite drinkable, but it ain't even in the same ballpark as Pliny and not remotely similar, taste-wise IMHO.

<-------can't get pliney :( actually
I've tasted Pliney, a sip, out of the bottle, at 3ish AM, drunk as fuck, at a HB comp, tastebuds shot, I remember liking it and being pissed that I was too hammered to savor it.
That being said I obviously can't compare the two.

I like Hop stoopid, a lot, fucking awesome beer, great aroma, punch you in the throat hops, awesome price, I'm drunk, not thta I don't mean what I typed, I'm just drunk.
Suck it

Just took a trip to Mass. yesterday to get a bunch of stuff I can't get in NH. Got a bottle of Hop Stoopid, Green Flash WCIPA, Southern Tier Coffee, 21A IPA and Watermelon Wheat, and Racer 5.

Damn you Brewing Network for introducing these to me and draining my wallet. :)

i also just had this for the first time last weekend. fucking awesome beer.

i gave it to the lady to taste and she liked it. this is after christ knows how many IPAs i've handed her that she's hated (alpha king, two hearted, et al). at this point i make her taste everything cause there's really no telling what she'll like and what she won't.

I was expecting something a lot more brutal, but i should have known better from lagunitas. this beer is smooth as hell and i could easily drink a few bombers given the chance. $4.39 at the local mega liquor store is also a good price for a bomber.

Just an observation here, not to cast judgement on either beer, but one of the reasons Lagunitas can charge less has to be because they are using 100% hop extract in the kettle. Virtually no wort loss, whereas Pliny uses extract and still has a huge amount of pellet hops, which are going to decrease the overall yeild of the beer.

I've never tried them side-by side, but I really enjoy both!

$3.50 is a deal. I've only seen Pliny once in my life up here so I paid whatever they were asking.
