Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout

Poured from a 22 oz bomber right into my snifter,
and let warm a bit.

Appearance: Nice and dark -- not fully opaque, can
see through it near the edges of the glass. Yep,
it's a stout

Nose: Very pleasing -- I pick up the oats, some
roasty malt, and a tinge of coffee. I'm gonna drink
it already!

Taste: I get the roasted malts, and some other
malty flavors for that matter, but pretty well
balanced with some hops. I'm guessing Cascade
mixed with some more bitter, less citrus-y variety.
I also get the oatmeal at the end and aftertaste

Mouthfeel: Kinda big, little lull in the "middle" but a
nice strong finish. The beer lingers a bit on the
back of my tongue, but I don't mind that. Very
stout-y (good thing right?)

Drinkability: at roughly 6.5abv, it's no session stout
(think Guinness), but it's a goody! I'd say very
good at 50-55 deg F. I paid $4 for the bomber and
I'd do it again

Cheers!
