They were planning to put one in San Jose, but this economy of ours has put this one hold. The locations was the Valco Fashion Mall near Apples' HQ. I went to the Vegas one, and had a great time. Would have stayed longer, but I was with some non-beer drinker (what a waste of time).

I've been to the one in Cincy (across the river) and they have a good selection of beers on tap. Right now I am sitting in a hotel in Vegas and went to the one here last night. Only 3 beers the dunkle, orig. lager, and a hefe. I asked for a schwartz and the guy looked at me like I was crazy. Told him the one in Cincy makes a good one. He said "oh you mean TGI Fridays" Told me all the other ones are opened by TGIF and this one and the one in Munich are the only "true" hofbrauhaus's. Dont think I believe him though
I'm smelling a lot of IF comming offa this plan!

I frequent the one in Milwaukee and they have awesome tapping parties, great staff, specials and food. From what I gather the HB folks keep a tight grip on these places. There are a few planned that never come through because of the regulations from what I hear. The one in Vegas is pretty much the real deal compared to the original in Munich as far as layout and decor. Also, Cincy is the US sister City to Munich so it's pretty logical to have one in the area and I'm sure the cost of land and such was a much better option to just be across the river.

I can't wait to be in Pittsburgh next month to check this place out, thanks for letting me know they have one. It will be the 6th different Hofbrauhaus I will have enjoyed a Mass.

i really love the idea of the HBhaus franchise to give people a taste of what a German beerhall is all about but if you've been to the real one, it's a little disappointing. nothing can top the original and the new ones will never have that same smell...not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing
I'm enjoying my 6-pack....my 6-pack of Superbowl trophies!
