We probably would recognize each other! I'm not so much of a regular that I have a mug though...

I'm just going to be a little bitch about it and say Fuck all of you... I have to drive to Texas to get anything from Avery or breckenridge, let alone trying to find exotics like russian river or firestone. I Hate you all and I'm tired of sitting at work listening about all the ridiculously great hop taste I could get if I didn't need this god damned job in LA... time to bring out the shotgun.... fuck this!

I realized not everyone has spent as much $ there as I have. For the longest time I said I was content just drinking beer and really had no desire to make my own, but I've seen the light and that's changed :D

That's the most crowded I've seen it. Tomme Arthur made an appearance and hung out all night. It was kinda funny cause everyone was clamoring over him. At one point in the evening I slapped him on the shoulder and shook his hand and asked him "Didn't you played Frankenstein in The movie Young Frankesntein?" He answered yes as a matter fact I did. And then he did a brief rendition of Putting on the Ritz. We had a good laugh and had a great discussion about Angel Share. I was curious about the barrels it was aged in becuase of it's distinct flavor. I asked him if it was Bourbon Barrel aged and he told me that it was aged in Brandy Barrels! It's just an amazing big beer. It's probably the most complex beer I've ever had. with layers upon layers of flavor. It's a Big Dark Belgian Beer. It doesn't even fall into any style it's so unique. It's got a creamy head that is about a quarter inch thick. The aroma is sweet raisiny, earthy with hot brandy in the background. The flavor goes through a full flavor spectrum starting sweet and hot and finishing almost chocaletey. Just a great beer. Also the Red Poppy was fantastic. A Belgian sour that had a great balance of sour and sweetness. A perfect sour beer. Unfortanately I was a bit under the weather so I only tasted a few, but the few I tasted were outstanding examples of craft beers!
Cheers to Tomme Arthur and The Lost Abbey and O'briens! :jnj

If you've ever been to OB's and seen people with some odd looking dogs. Giant great danes, or all white dogs, that's us. We haven't been there that much lately...maybe once or twice a month for the past 6 months.
