64 oz. growler, on tap. Poured out a very clear, golden yellow color, with a huge white, frothy, meringue-like head at first. Aromas are of fresh malts, slight bready yeast, some caramel, and East Kent Goldings hops. There is no mistaking the EKG hop aromas, as they are earthy, and sweet. Tastes are of fresh malts, some yeasty bread, some caramel, and a slight lactic wheat malt tang. Medium mouthfeel. Neither thick, nor thin. Just right for a light bodied ale. Earthy hops leave a slight bite as it’s swallowed. Some esters, but nothing major. A very clean, crisp ale. Finishes slightly sweet, but full bodied. Very filling. Overall, a more than decent local beer.
