12 oz. brown long necked bottle. No freshness date seen. Poured out a brilliant copper color, with a fair amount of head. It faded back to a decent lacing down the sides of the glass. Aromas are of fresh baked pumpkin, allspice, nutmeg, and cinnamon. No hops here, gang. Tastes fresh, like a crisp apple tart. Malty backbone stands up well to the spices. The spices are well balanced with the rest of the beer, not overpowering like most pumpkin ales. Finished crisp, clean, and spicy. A great seasonal from Dogfish Head.
