11.2 oz. / 330 ml. brown, stubbie Belgian bottle. My bottle says Double, not Dubbel. No freshness date seen, but a cryptic date code on the back label. Part of the six pack of Belgian Ales I bought at Rips. Poured out a deep caramel brown, but clear, not hazy or cloudy. It has a huge tan colored head that hung around until the bottom of glass. Lasting head is an understatement. Some malts and caramel in the aromas, some candi sugar too. Not much in the way of hop aromas, but has an earthy hopiness to the flavor. Somewhat sweet, malty and rich. Medium mouthfeel coats the tongue slightly. Finishes somewhat sweet, but not to the point of being cloying.
