Avery 14er ESB

Mon Jun 20, 2005 6:37 am

12 oz. brown bottle. Poured out a smooth light orange / copper color. It has a fast fading head, but it did leave a little lacing around the edges of the glass. Aromas of caramel malts, slight vanilla aroma as well. I couldn't detect much in the hops department, aroma-wise, but I could taste them. Muted, but present. Nice, smooth texture & mouthfeel to this beer. Slightly subdued for an ESB, but very drinkable all the same. Finishes crisp & clean. No heavy aftertaste. A very nice beer from Avery.
