Bells Pale Ale

[Triple Freak]

12 oz. brown, longneck bottle. No freshness date seen anywhere. Poured out a straw yellow color, with a sparse white head. Left a slight lacing down the sides. Aromas are of Ringwood yeast, sulfur, stinky gym socks, and cheesy hops. Maybe it’s an old bottle, but this beer doesn’t impress me much. Thin body, weak taste, and earthy, dirt-like aftertaste. Certainly not the best pale ale I ever had, that much is sure.

I agree with triple freak's comments. Not a great showing for bell's which typically makes some great tasting ales.

Go for their Two-Hearted Ale. It's their IPA. All Centennial hops, so you're still going to get that hint of gym socks, but really nice otherwise.

The bottles have a batch number on them. If you go to there website you can find out the date it was bottled with that number. Granted I am not a big Bell's fan but the two hearted ale is pretty good. The rest of there beer pretty much all tastes the same. I can only reccomend expidition stout after two hearted.
