Flying Dog Raging Bitch

Alright... got back from Gonzofest this weekend (at the new brewery in Frederick, MD). That was a blast. if you are in the area next year, or can get there (3.5 hour drive for me was worth it). Just a quick review of the festivities. They had at least 12 different beers on tap, plus some food for purchase. It was also the Maryland State Chili Cookoff - with free samples!! There was some good chili there. There was also a Hunter S. Thompson look-a-like contest. Some creepy lookin' dudes walking around.

So... they just got approved last Thursday for their labels for a new beer. Raging Bitch - a Belgian style IPA. Hopped with an ass-load (technical measurement) of Amarilo. You could chew on that beer. The Belgian yeast that they used added nicely to the hoppiness. Once it's released - I highly recommend getting some. SUPER YUMMY!!

Cheers.

By the way... I forgot to mention that tickets for Gonzofest were $20 pre-order or $30 at the gate and that was for 6 hours of Flying Dog goodness, live music, chili samples and a good time to be had by all. Can't beat that price!

I think they will be pouring Raging Bitch at FBAG during GABF. Looking forward to trying it.

I hope they also serve this on the floor at GABF. I would love to do a side by side comparison of that with Nebraska Brewing's Hop God. It's a Belgian style trippel hopped like an American IIPA. 9.2% ABV and 101 IBU's of great citrus salad of hops. My money is on Hop God to beat it.
