Drinking my first lambic!

Thu Jun 11, 2009 4:55 am

I hear the brewcasters talking about Belgian Lambics quite a bit so I decided to try one

I really can't translate the label but I believe it is by Lindemans? it says "Vlezenbeek, Belgium" on the label, I assume that is the town where it was made

I gotta say, I like it. At first the sourness was a shock but after the first couple of sips it starter going down great!

I like it a lot, never tasted anything like it

I will never forget my first lambic. I was like "holy shit! This is beer?"

Welcome to the style....it's all down hill from here...

Yep. People either hate it or become instantly addicted. I loooooooooooooove the sour beers! Damn, I'm getting twitchy just thinking about it.....

If the lable says Lindemans it better be the Cuvee Rene with the yellow lable.
Other wise you could have just saved youself $10 and bought some kool-aid

Oh, come on. It's not that bad. Sure, it's a "gateway Lambic". I think it would be harder for one to ease into that snatch we call sour beers without a little "Lindeman's lube".
