Drake's IPA

Wed May 03, 2006 1:31 pm

Thanks to TBN I tried my first Drake's beer. Their Gold Medal IPA.

Holy crap, it rocks. Great tip; great beer. I have found one distributor for it here in SoCal in bottles. Would love to try this beer on draught.

Very surprised at its alcohol content (7%)... it seemed like such a session beer. Then I stood up. Ouch.

Thanks for the great recommendation, TBN.

Wed May 17, 2006 10:14 pm

It seems that it was a one-time occurance... my local store has not had a single bottle of the gold medal IPA since that first six pack I found.

I'm JONESIN'!!!

Roger, you bastard, hook me up! I'll ship you a corny... fill it up, baby!

If I remember correctly I tried the Drakes IPA at Boonville and it was great. If I could help you out I would PE.

Checked again yesterday and all they had was Roger's blonde and amber; both of which I find just okay... good... but that friggin' IPA was smokin'.

Damn you all who can have it any time you want.

OH SWEET ASS OF JESUS, I found a friggin' CASE of it today and scooped it up.

Crash chilled one immediately when I got home in an ice bath and am back in that sweet spot.

Roger, you crack-pusher, this is my new favorite beer.
